About this Site

This site was inspired by all of the friends who initially told us, “you know, I could never go vegan” and then became vegan. Many people know that our whole family is vegan so we’re often asked for advice from those who are interested in veganism. This site is for them and for anyone considering veganism and needing some advice for transitioning to this way of living from our family to yours.

There is a lot of misinformation on this topic especially from special interest groups who have a vested interest, often financial, in maintaining the status quo. It’s therefore important to explore who paid for a piece of research that you’re reading and to consider what the authors have to gain from the position they’re taking. We’ve tried hard on this site to only include independently well researched findings.

This site should not be considered as medical advice. In fact, you should check with a vegan knowledgeable physician if you have any questions. Most physicians get very little nutrition education during medical school and most aren’t up on the latest scientific and medical research in this area. It’s therefore important to find a vegan knowledgeable physician. We’ve had great success with recently graduated medical practitioners.

In addition, a book by Dr. Michael Greger provides the most comprehensive review of the relevant scientific and medical literature.
